Norman Katz

From 1985 to 1996, Norman had career positions from Programmer to Business Systems Analyst to Information Technology Manager while working at some of the most recognized consumer product companies in the country.  In late 1995 Norman decided to take a chance on the dream of self-employment and started Katzscan in January 1996.

Norman ’s education and certifications include:

·          1985:  Graduated from the University of Florida (www.ufl.edu) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Computer Information Sciences.

·          1998:  Confirmed as a licensed Florida Private Investigator, assisting with the investigation of white collar frauds.

·          2006:  Achieved his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (www.acfe.com).

·          2007:  Received his Certification in Corporate Governance from Tulane University College of Law through University Alliance (www.universityalliance.com).

·          2008:  Designated as a Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS) by the Association of Certified Fraud Specialists (www.acfsnet.org).

Combining his technical capabilities and business operations knowledge, Norman brings a “dual personality” to the forefront for his clients - to their benefit and appreciation.  Norman can not only identify operations & technology gaps and inefficiencies, but he can recommend – and implement – the technology solutions & common sense business “best practices” required to improve these situations.  Knowing his clients’ businesses so intimately, Norman continually exceeds expectations by delivering functionality beyond native software capabilities and what is requested, delivered cost-effectively and on time.  This is all performed with a focus on compliance, risk management, and fraud reduction.

Norman is a frequent nationally published author and presenter, each over 20 times, on supply chain operations & technologies and fraud-related topics.
